Atomic Backland 102 is a backcountry ski that’s light, floaty in the pow but also versatile enough to deliver top performance on hard pack (and one that looks as good as it feels too!). With a 102mm waist it’s our widest Backland ski for women. With a Powder Rocker that’s big in the tip and smaller in the tail it’s a great powder piece. But it’s also super light thanks to a Light Woodcore and the Carbon Backbone which runs over the entire length of the ski. And the Cap Sidewall makes it stable enough for groomers, so it’s really versatile. Add new Shift bindings and Multifit Rocker Skins and you’ve got a superb Freeride Touring ski for women.

  • Cap Sidewall: A construction with no sidewall where the top sheet folds down over the edges, making it easy to handle
  • Light Woodcore: Made from poplar - ideal for our powder, all-mountain and freeride touring skis that need to be strong but really light
  • Powder Rocker: 20% Rocker in the tip, 70% Camber underfoot, 10% Rocker in the Tail
  • Carbon Backbone: Ad dynamic carbon insert for our lightweight backcounty skis
  • Dimensions: 156cm 128 / 102 / 119mm  -  164 cm: 129 / 102 / 120mm
  • Turn Radius: 156: 14m   164: 16m    172: 18m

$140 Retail Value – Mount any 22 Designs Binding to this Ski! (Vice, Axl, Outlaw and Lynx all have the same Hole Pattern)

Quiver Killers are threaded inserts for ski binding mounting holes that once installed, with the bindings screws exchanged for M5 machine screws, allow the bindings to be removed/reinstalled as often as you like.

The inserts are made from non-rusting stainless steel and have a closed end to give a water tight seal to the skis core. The course outer thread grips the skis core whilst the fine rolled inner thread gives the M5 bindings screws a metal to metal fixing to the ski, all of which combines to give a mount that's over 40% stronger than a conventional binding mount.

The Axl Telemark binding sports a bombproof 6-hole mounting pattern, long-lasting chrome die springs, and a front assembly built of tough stainless steel. It gives you adjustable, exceptional power, but tours effortlessly. Try it and you'll love it!

The first free-pivot binding with three cable guide positions. Optimize your bindings for your skiing style and snow conditions.

The Outlaw X is an updated NTN binding, now with easier step-in and out, lighter weight, and improved durability.  Still built the 22 Designs way with sweet flex, copious spring travel, rugged steel construction, and blazing up and downhill performance.

An underfoot spring steel plate allows a lively flex while offering precision lateral control.  A single long spring provides smooth travel, and an easy preload adjustment makes it easy to find the sweet spot.

Built in the USA with stainless steel, machined aluminum, and premium plastics, the Outlaw X is built to last, and the 6 hole mounting pattern will keep it solid on your ski.

Borrowing proven touring technology from the Axl, the Outlaw X delivers true free-pivot performance. With a true step-in and pole activated release, the Outlaw is always ready to run.

The Lynx is Twenty-Two Designs’ NTN tech-toe light touring binding.   It features composite flex plates, adjustable preload and flex, and a lightweight yet durable design.  Built with machined aluminum parts, an easy-to-switch ski/walk mode, and lightweight springs with plenty of travel, it’s the new standard in light touring for telemark bindings.  Recommended for setups that will spend at least 80-90% of their time in the backcountry.

The tech-toe design allows touring without any lifted binding weight, so skiers can keep up with even their spandex-clad AT brethren.  But since it’s a 22 Designs binding, skiers get the durability they expect and the reward of smooth, powerful tele turns on the way down.

One touch puts the binding into free pivot mode.  Once at the top, ski mode is also easily pole activated, peel skins and drop in!

  • Easy step in and out with instant engagement
  • 80°+ of resistance-free touring
  • Adjustable preload helps you fine-tune your ride
  • 3 SLIC Pin™ positions take the resistance out of skinning uphill; lock the pivot point down when you're ready to link turns
  • Spring-loaded climbing bails are easy to flip up and down with your ski pole
  • For NTN Bindings, the binding Size MUST match your boot size. Scarpa and Crispi boots 26.0 and under fit the Small Bindings, 26.5 and up are Large. For Scott/Garmont boots, the break is between 25.5 and 26.0.
